This tutorial presents a workflow to optimize the coregistration of field measurements of tree positions with Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) data. A precise coregistration is a necessary to avoid border effects leading to errors in models, e.g. when calibrating area-based models for the prediction of forest parameters.
